This poem was inspired by World Ocean Day, on 8th June, to highlight the interconnectedness of nature and give respect to the ocean.
High above, in clouds so white
I danced and twirled in golden light.
A breeze took hold,
And down I fell, so free, so bold.
I gently fell and kissed a leaf,
And fell into a stream; a journey so brief.
Then I joined a river, a silver thread.
In many which were already embed.
The ocean threw its hands wide,
Welcoming me into the never-ending tide.
I was whisked away into colorfulness
And the ocean waves danced with gracefulness.
